Outstanding Nursery Facilities

St Aidan’s Day Nursery is very light and spacious with various well equipped separate rooms to ensure we deliver the highest care to your child's individual needs.

We also have a large outdoor area which all children can have direct access from. The rooms provide stimulating, safe and fun activities for children aged 3 months to 5 years to the standards of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Babyroom and milk preparation room

This spacious room can accomodate six babies aged 3-14 months with a staff ratio of 1:3. The staff who care in this room are experienced and fully qualified and care for all the needs of the babies, providing stimulating, yet warm, friendly and relaxed environment, which is rich with colours and textures.
This room also has a separate milk preparation room, where the sterilisation of utensils and bottles are made up in a hygienic and safe environment.

Toddler Room

Is a spacious, safe, stimulating, light and relaxed welcoming environment, accommodating up to 7 children with the average age of 14 months to 2 years. Again this room is self-contained and has a separate bathroom, due to this age group becoming more independent and exploring, the room has a separate messy area, which allows children to explore freely. The staff who care in this room are experienced and fully qualified with a ratio of 1:3

Playroom and Messy Play Area

These are separate rooms but are open planned which allows children to have the opportunity to play in which area they prefer. These rooms are shared by the children aged 2-3 years and pre-school 3-5 years old. The playroom is spacious, light with large windows allowing children to see the surrounding area. The room has a quiet area, role play, construction, sensory, music, computer and many more. The room has a self-contained bathroom.
The Messy play area has a non-slip floor that is specifically designed so that activities such as water, sand are all at the child's level in a safe environment. There are colourful sinks for the children to use for water play, mixing up paints wash their own snack dishes and so on. There is also a carpeted area designed for quiet time, where children can sit and look at books or enjoy circle time with their friends and staff.
